Wise Dude in Chief

I am an actor, director, mentor/coach, playwright, producer, portrait photographer, activist, masseur, former non-profit administrator, homeowner & gardener and long-time resident of California (although born and raised in The Bronx, New York).
In recent years my theatre work has been focused on writing and directing new plays both for full production and as part of new play festivals. I act in readings, commercials and absolutely loved being back on stage in a world premiere play.

As a committed androphile, my portrait photography (film to silver gelatin prints) has focused on gorgeous and talented men doing what they do best.  The transition to digital photography has just begun with a Canon Rebel SL2 and the digitization of 1000s of slides and negs of older work.  My creative eye is ever-focused on new talent.
I am convinced of the value of arts education in the development of citizens of admirable character.  I am a proud graduate of CalArts, Syracuse University and the “Fame[d]” High School of Music and Art [currently LaGuardia High School of Music and the Arts].
In the LGBTQ community, my five decades of activism include social justice, HIV/AIDS education, peer counseling, suicide hotline training, group facilitation and as a featured columnist and photographer for several gay publications.
Old friends may remember me as Nonnie Vishner … interesting story.
